New 20-hour Dexway module: “Module: Aeronautical English” corresponding to level B1. The course presents the fundamentals of vocabulary and phraseology in the field of aeronautics in English.

This course introduces learners to the fundamental vocabulary and phraseology used in aeronautical English.Module 1 begins by covering the terminology and procedures related to safety checks, as well as introducing airport vocabulary and giving practical examples of types of communication that take place during a flight. The student also sees an example of a NOTAM with an explanation of how to interpret this type of message.
Module 2 continues to build on important aviation vocabulary and abbreviations and presents typical aeronautical technical problems and solutions. Students will also learn the ICAO alphabet and the correct way to pronounce numbers in this context, practising with both aspects in a range of exercises. There is an explanatory text on the ATIS (Automatic Technical Information System) employed all over the world, with practical examples.
Module 3 includes more realistic listening practice from different phases of flight, using IATA and ICAO airport codes and call signs. This module also covers the emergency protocols that pilots and cabin crew follow, as well as the use of Squawk codes for use in cases of limited communication.
There are test exercises at the end of each unit to consolidate the language covered, and a final test to review the course content.
